Only Moments
As I left this world I worried about you
Felt your pain and sorrow
Didn't know what to do
Yet when my eyes reopened
Suddenly, feeling no pain
I wasn't sure where I was
Until an Angel came
The angel had wings
With a soft white coat of hair
He spoke to me gently
He knew what my heart did bare
I missed my master already
Who loved me so much
Never again I told him
Will I feel your human touch
He said not worry
Then took me to a gate
Showing me all the others
Saying not long do they wait
On earth life is short
Yet in heaven time is not
Explaining it all to me
As he took me to a spot
With eyes wide open
My tail wagged wildly
Even though it had been years
I saw you running up to me
So as years will go by for you
Remember I will sit and wait
Because here in heaven
It's only moments at the gate
